This Timeline is a work in progress. The webmasters goal is to build a comprehensive list of important dates as related to the 101st Airborne Division from the inception of Airborne units to the end of hostilities for the 101st in WWII. Since it is a work in progress, the webmaster welcomes all input with regards to new additions and any suggested corrections. Any times listed should be considered as estimated.

Until I have enough of the Timeline completed to post it on this site, I have attached scans of the 506th regimental after action report from the National Archives. This report includes a brief outline of many of the major actions of the regiment during Operation Neptune in Normandy.
