The images showcased on this page are scans of original photographs in the webmasters collection, not copies or modern day reprints. Some have been published, but most have not. Each picture was taken during the period of 1939 to 1945 by either a private party or an agency such as the US Army Signal Corp. Unfortunately I've had to place watermarks on each picture to prevent image theft off the internet. The original photos in the webmasters collection do not have the watermarks. If you recognize anyone in a picture who is not named, please contact the webmaster via the email address at the bottom of the page with any information you could share to help with an identification.

Pictures from the Estate of William Bradshaw, Service Company, 501st PIR
I was fortunate to receive about two dozen of Mr. Bradshaw's photos. Most of the collection went to fellow airborne enthusiast Mark Patterson in Arizona. At this time all I know about Mr. Bradshaw is his name and unit, Service Company, 501st PIR. If you have any more information on this gentleman, or can identify anyone in the pictures, please email the webmaster below.

From The Estate Of Lt. Don E. Cowles.
Lt. Cowles was serving in the European Theater of Operations as the historical officer of the Allied Airborne Army. It is assumed that because he was the historian, he had access to these photos and brought them back from Europe. They are original, period printed, US Army Signal Corp photos, not postwar copies. Some have been published in various books over the years. The group of photos depicts various scenes from Operation Market Garden. Some of the pictures were taken at the airfields in England before the invasion (both 82nd and 101st Airborne units are seen here). Other pictures are aerial photos taken of the flight to Holland, the drop in progress, and the results on the ground of the drops and glider landings. So far I have only been able to pinpoint the location of one of the dropzones shown. Any information that would assist me in identifying the others would be appreciated. Please email the webmaster below if you have information that may be useful.
