1942 Orders To Senior Leaders

This is a rare document giving orders to the primary leadership of the soon-to-be 101st Airborne Division in 1942.  The document is being posted with permission of Chris Wilson via Ken McAuliffe.  Many Thanks to the both of them.

Eisenhower D-Day Letter

Original copy of the letter given to US assault troops on the eve of the D-Day invasion.  June 6 also happened to be the birthday of the veteran who this particular copy had belonged to.  What a birthday present!

Invasion Money

The following 5 Franc note is not French money per se.  This note is one of the many that were printed up by the Allies for use by invasion troops with the French people in Normandy.  This particular note was one that was carried into battle by Frank Denison of Company "C" of the 326th Airborne Engineer Battalion.  Frank was gracious enough to donate this to the museum.
