The Southern Ca;ifornia Chapter of the 101st Airborne Division Association was formed many years ago by it's first President Jim Bradley, it's first Vice President Frank Hoffman, and by it's first Secretary/Treasurer, George Gillespie. Unfortunately all of these paratroopers have since made their final jump to a better place, but the fruits of their labor are still strong. The vision they originally had of an organization that would provide a lasting source of comaraderie for all Southern California members of the 101st Airborne Division, still thrives today.
Since it's initial inception, many member have come and gone. Some of those who left have moved to other parts of the United States, but still stay in contact with the chapters happenings through our bi-monthly newsletter. Additionally new members from more recent conflicts than the original WWII service have also joined their Airborne brothers in the chapter. We now have members all over the world, not just from this country, some are active, and some just quiet supporters. Some members are veterans, and some are non-airborne associates who are family or just friends who also wish to support us.
Although we are based in Southern California, we welcome into our chapter all 101st Airborne veterans, from all service periods, and from everywhere in the world. We also welcome their friends and family and anyone else who shares an interest in the deeds and history of the 101st Airborne Division of the United States of America.
